A 50's, 60's, and 70's Rock 'n' Roll function band based in Bury St. Edmunds. This is the current band I perform in. I play lead guitar and rhythm, whilst also doing lead vocals and backing vocals. After successfully auditioning for the role of guitarist I have been playing with Coast for around 5 months. We have been gigging regularly around the east of England and never fail to get people singing, dancing, laughing, and smiling. Check out our upcoming events and see for yourselves!
Dale Bennett & The Incidentals
Dale Bennett is a singer songwriter from Haverhill. I first met Dale as a session musician, we were both employed to set up a one off function band for a wedding. After a few years passed I contacted Dale and offered him a studio opportunity in Buckinghamshire. This had a great outcome and Dale employed me as his live guitarist in 'Dale Bennett & the Incidentals'. During my time as his guitarist we played at The Apex in Bury, Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, and Anglia Ruskin Students Union, amongst many other venues. After a year of performing together we have parted ways but remain in contact. The link below shows our take on 'Aint No Sunshine' performed live at Anglia Ruskin.
E Whizz Airbourne
E-Whizz Airbourne is a london based Producer, Songwriter, and Hip hop artist. Having heard my previous work with 'Alpha' he contacted me and employed me to send over some recordings to some of his songs. This was done remotely, recording in my home studio and subsequently sending over the stems from each session. A large variety of different styles were recorded, the link below showcases the most technically demanding.
Alpha (Real Suiiet Music)
Jermaine Ngobeh, or 'Alpha' as he is known on stage, is a London based hip hop artist. His music takes influence from a wide variety of genres and when he was looking to release a new album his first vision was a grand release and live performance Jermaine came straight to me and employed me, both as his guitarist, and as a musical director of the live versions of his songs. Together we created a free flowing set list of his songs telling a complex story and released a live studio video to go along with it. Check out that video in the link below.
Natalia Ruszczuk
Natalia was another singer that I met during my studies. We originally performed as a duo showcasing her vocal abilities but during the course of several performances added new members to the line up. These members were Sebastian Atherton on guitar and Toby Pilcher on Cajon This allowed more complex guitar parts to be worked out, vocal harmonies to be added, and a stronger rhythmic element to arise.
Pooja Vatsa
Pooja is a singer that, throughout my studies at university, I worked with a fair amount. She was also a member of the Bucks Musician Society and performed at 'The Main Event' and at 'Suck My Acoustic' with me. Most notably she employed me for a local festival slot she accquired where I once again organised a backing band of session musicians. Although I have no video of this performance please do listen to her performance at The main event with myself on guitar. I also have available some studio recordings that are available on request.
The Main Event PT 1 & 2
This was a yearly event hosted by the 'Bucks Musicians Society'. As an active participant and committee member (Vice Chairman) I helped organise this event by creating and managing a house band for a large variety of members. In the link below you can see the band performing with London based Hip Hop artist 'Raw Savant' but each night comprised of roughly 8 different artists ranging from soul, to hip hop, to rock, with me and the house band providing the music, no backing tracks!
Suck My Acoustic Collaberations
This was a regular open mic night held in Buckinghamshire New University's Students Union. In several instances, some recorded some not, I was asked to play for a wide variety of different singers. During my time at university I developed a reputation for the most versatile session guitarist and constantly offered my services to Rappers, Producers, Singers, and Songwriters.
Needs Strange
An experimental Funk-Rock-Jazz Fusion band based in Bury St Edmunds. Set up by myself, Michael Orange, and Adam King, this band focused on creativity and allowing us to explore our abilities freely. Every performance (except for our rock version of Cissy Strut) was completely improvised, a risky choice, but one that allowed us to reinvent our sound every time we took to the stage!
