About Me

I have always been obsessed with music. I grew up in a family where Rock 'n' Roll was constantly being played through the radiogram. Although no one in my family had any musical ability, we all loved it, and in some ways it was only natural for me to pick up a guitar! At 13 I bought my very first guitar, a dreadful electric, and promised myself that I would do all I could to become a guitarist. I never had those dreams of playing on a stage or recording with artists, I just wanted to be part of the music I listened to in my bedroom! As time went on and my musical palette increased I realised that this was something I wanted to do professionally. After working full time in Sounds Plus in Bury St Edmunds I decided that I had what it took to step it up a level, so I enrolled at Buckinghamshire New University on their Music Management & Studio Production course. Although I had never been amazingly academic throughout my years at school, the freedom and subect matter helped me to excel at further eduction. It was at University that I realised my capabilities as a session musician, providing guitar tracks for a huge variety of genres and creating a professional reputation for myself. This led me to choose the subject matter of "What Makes a Session Guitarist Employable?" for my final dissertation (available on request). Many painstaking hours, nervous breakdowns, and 34,000 words later I had a finished piece, and a life goal printed in front of me. The work paid off and I graduated with a 1st class degree with honours and a 1st class dissertation. Throughout this time period I was surrounded by musicians, helped to run a musicians society, and was constantly networking with music professionals. This meant that I was always busy with a musical project of some nature, however after moving back prior to my course I realised that word of mouth wasnt enough. I have now built a professional platform in which you can contact me, hire me, and check out everything I have done and everything I have to offer.
